Photo & Video Editor - Job Posting

PHOTO & VIDEO EDITOR - REAL ESTATE

TFD Media is a Video Production and Digital Marketing company based in London, Ontario. We are currently seeking a Remote Photo and Video Editor to handle the majority of our Real Estate content. We will be offering part-time hours on a subcontractor basis to start (this means you will be required to invoice us) with the possibility of full-time hours and formal employment contract in the future. You will have flexibility over hours and schedule but are generally expected to be available Monday - Friday for approx. 25-30 hrs a week. We pay a flat rate per project which equates to a minimum of $25/hr.

We shoot real estate content - This means high volume with quick turnarounds but still requires some detailed editing techniques. Everything will be done remotely so a strong internet connection and quick response time is a must. There is little supervision but open communication is needed. As long as deadlines are being hit the work can be done on your own schedule.

Adobe Premiere is required.
The following are some of the techniques we use when editing our content.

Photo Editing:

  • Working with Raw photos

  • Selecting the best angles.

  • Brush and gradient masking

  • Sky replacement

  • Window replacement

  • Straightening vertical lines

  • Batch exports with specific specs

Video Editing:

  • Color grading

  • Working with log footage

  • Drone footage

  • Smooth speed ramping

  • Slowing and stabilizing footage

  • Editing to music

The file contains 2 Raw photos straight from camera. 1 Exterior shot & 1 Interior shot. Edit the two photos how you see fit and attach them to an email sent to Tyson@TFDMedia.ca with the subject “Editor Application”. We are not going for over-stylized - looking for the best quality, natural-looking photo possible.

I am less concerned with your resume, education or formal cover letter as I am with the quality of your work. Sending a couple of additional samples of both photos and videos you've edited will do. Any samples of real estate content is obviously a plus but not required. If we are happy with the quality we will set up a call and provide you with a fully paid test job.

Finding the right editor will allow us to book more business and potentially increase the hours to full-time. Please give us up to a week to reply to your application.
